Hello and welcome to Timothée Chalamet Network. Timothée is an American actor best known for 'Miss Stevens' and 'Call Me By Your Name'. TCN hopes to provide you with the latest news, images and videos of Timothée. So enjoy your stay!
Timothée attended the BFI London Filmestival a few days ago to promote ‘Call Me By Your Name’. You can see images from that in the gallery along with a press conference video below. Two new clips from the movie were also released yesterday and you can see those below as well.
After attending the festival, Timothée is back at work on the untitled Woody Allen movie and you can see some new set images from yesterday in the gallery.
In other news, Timothée is to be honored with a Breaktrough Actor award at the Hollywood Film Awards. Congratulations to Timmy!
Timothée attended ‘Call Me By Your Name’ related events at NYFF this past week. You can see images in the gallery and a video here.
In other news, ‘Hostiles’ has found distribution. According to EW:
The best actor Oscar race just gained another contender, as Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios has acquired Scott Cooper’s $50 million Christian Bale-fronted western Hostiles for North American distribution.
Also starring Rosamund Pike, Jesse Plemons, Ben Foster, Q’orianka Kilcher, Wes Studi, and Timothée Chalamet, Hostiles — about a hardened Army captain with a bloody past tasked with escorting a Cheyenne war chief and his family through the violent plains of the American west — is looking at a December release date to qualify for the 90th Academy Awards, with expansion slated for January 2018.
As you all probably know, Timothée’s at TIFF right now promoting ‘Call Me By Your Name’, ‘Lady Bird’ and ‘Hostiles’. I’ve added images from a couple of vents Timmy attended along with a few photoshoots and you can see them all in the gallery. More to come. You can also see a press conference for ‘Call Me By Your Name’ below.
Also, according to Variety, ‘Hot Summer Nights’ was acquired for distribution by A24 for 2018 release.
A24 and DirecTV have acquired worldwide rights to “Hot Summer Nights,” Variety has learned.
“Hot Summer Nights” will debut in 2018, and will play in theaters and on DirecTV.
EW has released a new ‘Lady Bird’ set image as part of it’s 18 movies to look out for at TIFF segment. You can see that in the gallery along with another still and a few promo shoot images from ‘Call Me By Your Name’.
Idie darling Greta Gerwig has codirected with Joe Swanberg (Nights and Weekends) and collaborated on screenplays with Noah Baumbach (Frances Ha and Mistress America). Now she takes a solo spin (wonderfully, according to early chatter) behind the camera in this film starring Saoirse Ronan as a student who wants to shake her small town for New York City. Laurie Metcalf and Tracey Letts costar as Ronan’s parents.
Timothée gave a short interview to The New York Times accompanied by gorgeous new photoshoot images which you can see in the gallery in HQ. Sony Pictures Classics has also released new ‘Call Me By Your Name’ stills which you can also see in the gallery.
New Yorker Timothée Chalamet found his first major role not in an action movie or a comedy, but in something more nuanced — Luca Guadagnino’s ‘‘Call Me by Your Name,’’ in theaters this fall. ‘‘There were a number of things that appealed to me about the part,’’ the 21-year-old actor says of Elio, a precocious high schooler summering with his parents — and a visiting graduate student, a friend of his father’s — in their family seat in northern Italy. ‘‘One was its complexity; it’s rare to find a young character who has such a fierce inner struggle raging.’’
EW has released a new HQ ‘Call Me By Your Name’ still, which you can see in the gallery along with an LQ one from Empire UK and a new-ish set image.
“[For Hammer and Chalamet], there was a mutual craving to spend time together…. Their chemistry happened quite naturally and immediately,” Guadagnino says. Adds Hammer, “I can’t think of another movie where two men are so openly and honestly with each other. We made a movie that’s so tender and enjoyable, it can bridge gaps.”
W Magazine published a new interview with Timothée, Armie Hammer and Michael Stuhlbarg about ‘Call Me By Your Name’. You can read that here or some excerpts below. I have also added the two images from the interview to the gallery in higher quality than they are on the website.
In the TV show Homeland, Chalamet stole practically every scene he was in, and in Call Me by Your Name he is electrifying. His mix of raw awkwardness and puppy-like enthusiasm should be recognizable to anyone who has felt a deep longing that they didn’t totally understand.
“I first met with Luca when I was 17,” Chalamet, who is now 21, told me at the photo shoot for W. He was dressed in jeans and a T-shirt. “We had lunch, and Call Me by Your Name seemed far away from being real. It seemed unlikely that I would be the lead of the movie, or that the movie would happen at all. What I did know is that if the movie did manage to happen, Luca would have his fingerprints on every shot of the film. His superpower is his sensuality—his ability to make everything feel romantic.”
