Timothée has been busy promoting ‘Wonka’ again. He appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ twice. First in a skit as an audience member asking a question from Hugh Grant and then later as himself to give an interview. He also attended several events like the Afterschool-All Stars and Canadian fan screenings of ‘Wonka’. You can find the images from all those appearances in the gallery and watch the videos below.

The first trailer for ‘Wonka’ has been released and you can see that here or below. We also have the first poster and some stills thanks to People and Entertainment Weekly. Those also have some choice words from director Paul King who praises Timothée’s performance and abilities a lot.
The director says fans of Chalamet might be surprised that he “can also sing and dance brilliantly,” on top of his thespian chops.
“It’s really a tour de force for him there,” King says of Chalamet’s performance, adding, “He was rehearsing for months before we went to kind of that honing skills, which was a pleasure to watch.”
When it came to casting someone to play Wonka in his youth, King counts himself lucky to have landed Chalamet. “I really don’t think there are many people who could play this role at all,” he says. “Those are mighty big shoes to fill.” The Dune actor, he recalls, was able to find “the manic and mischievous and mysterious energy you’d expect from Willy Wonka,” but also the heart. “He’s such a brilliant actor at expressing really deep emotions within the context of a family movie. He’s just extraordinary as well at singing and dancing. He’s got the voice of an angel and the toes of… I don’t know what toes. I can’t wait for people to see it. I think it’s gonna blow people away.”
